The Older Peoples Forum (formerly called the Senior Persons’ Council) was established in 2005 following consultation with older people.

The Forum aims to give local older people an opportunity to put forward their issues and ideas to the District Council and to undertake their own initiatives to benefit the local community.  The Forum also provides a mechanism for consultation as well as empowering its members to identify issues of concern and take action to address them.
