Horsham Denne Neighbourhood Council was established in 1974 when Horsham Urban Council amalgamated with Chanctonbury and Horsham Rural Councils to form Horsham District Council.

It is one of three Neighbourhood Councils established to cover the unparished areas of Horsham. Horsham Denne NC covers the main shopping areas of Horsham Town Centre. The other Horsham Neighbourhood Councils are HorshamTrafalgar Neighbourhood Council and Horsham Forest Neighbourhood Council.

Horsham Denne Neighbourhood Council is a local, democratically elected and non political local community council and consultative body (including on planning applications) whose elected councillors represent the views of the residents of Horsham Denne Neighbourhood. It is funded by a small annual grant from HDC from the Town Special Charge. This covers our administration expenses but Denne NC has no money as such to spend on projects.

Horsham Denne NC has up to 11 Councillors elected through the same local election process as Parish Councils, Horsham District Council and West Sussex CC.
If you are interested or would like to become a Horsham Denne NC councillor please contact our Clerk.

District and County Councillors attend our meetings to communicate our views to their respective councils and to report back on any current relevant issues

Sara Doy was appointed our Clerk as of Monday 14th September 2015.
